Are you a Careers Guidance professional?
Do you have the skills and drive to enable young people to succeed?
Do you enjoy working in schools and colleges?
If so, we want you!
Due to the continuing success of our traded Careers Guidance service to schools and colleges, we need to expand our positive and supportive team. We are seeking IAG Level 6/7 qualified Advisers to deliver bespoke Information, Advice and Guidance service to young people, initially to deliver contracts in Sunderland, but potentially in schools throughout the North East and Yorkshire too. This post is initially for one year to deliver new contracts, but as we are gaining more work across the region we expect this to be extended.
We are looking for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and adaptable. You will be well organised, solution-focused and proactive. We deliver 1:1 Guidance interviews with young people aged 11-18, and also support each school's Careers Education programme through delivery of group sessions, so you will need to have strong engagement skills and be able to motivate young people in a variety of settings. Strong partnership skills are also essential as you will be working with a range of school staff as well as other agencies, parents/carers and colleagues within Youth Direction.
We have a very strong CPD programme, the latest technology to enable you to spend more of your time helping young people and less time writing it up, and very flexible working.
