Hours of Post: 37 hours per week (split shift – 6.30am-11.00am and 3.15pm-6.15pm Mon-Thurs/6.30am-10.30am and 3.15pm-6.15pm Friday)
The Headteacher and Governors of Bill Quay Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled caretaker to join our wonderful school.
The successful candidate will:
Be trustworthy, kind, self-motivatedand able to work alone, prioritising tasks
Be organised and able to keep the relevant areas of the school cleaned to a high standard
Have good general skills and a willingness to work proactively to keep the school site, inside and out, clean and in a good state of repair
Be able to liaise positively with cleaning, security, catering and other services working in the school building and grounds
Have an understanding of health and safety regulations and fire safety procedures
Have experience/understanding of the aspects of a caretaker’s role, as outlined in the job profile
Please note:
There is a caretaker’s property on site. We welcome any visits prior to interview. We anticipate the successful candidate to take up the role on 2nd June 2026. If successful you will be required to apply for an enhanced Disclosure
