Post: Casual/Cover Instrumental Teacher
Salary: £20 per hour
Durham Music Service requires a pool of temporary instrumental staff, to be used to cover staff absence. Durham Music Service is the lead partner in the Music Education Hub for County Durham and Darlington.
Applications will be welcomed from teachers able to deliver tuition in:
Brass, Woodwind, Strings, Guitar/Ukulele, Vocal, Percussion (including kit, tuned percussion or world percussion), Keyboard, Curriculum Music and Music for Early Years/Foundation Stage
Successful applicants will be involved in delivering both whole class ‘First Access’ programmes and small group tuition.
Applicants must have a recognised music performance qualification (Grade 8 or equivalent) on their principal instrument and either a teaching qualification or previous teaching experience.
The job involves travel across County Durham /Darlington Borough and candidates must be able to meet this provision.
