The Play Service is part of Gateshead Council's Early Help Service and is responsible for the delivery of inclusive play opportunities for children and young people across Gateshead. We are currently recruiting for Casual Play Workers to join our excellent team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to fill a variety of roles. We welcome applications from those who have experience of working with children and young people with Autism and associated complex needs. We also welcome applicants who have a D1 Category Driving Licence.
Applicants must be available to start work during this year's summer holiday period commencing Monday 22nd July 2019 for six weeks. Hours of work during holiday periods will be Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm. We also have a variety of opportunities available during term time including work within our Children's Centres and the delivery of one to one outreach provision.
Applicants must have experience of working with children and young people and planning and delivering activities.
They will have knowledge of Inclusion and experience of consulting children and young people during planning.
They will have a variety of knowledge, skills and experience which will support the service in ensuring that the children and young people of Gateshead have a fantastic time when attending our activities.
