Delivering Social Work in the newly formed Child in Need Assessment and Intervention service.
We are looking to appoint several experienced Social Workers into the newly formed Assessment and Intervention service.
The service delivers Social Work to children and families following allocation via our integrated referral team. The service firmly believes in the power of strength based relational Social Work and its members will hold the ability to address behaviours linked to, or because of, adult and childhood trauma and compromised child/parental relationships and capacity. Supervision will be highly reflective with training in systemic practice a core offer towards your professional development.
The work will predominantly involve assessment and intervention work focussing on effecting sustained change with Children and families in Need. The service will also undertake child protection investigations up to the initial Child protection conference as well as taking urgent action to protect the child where necessary. The service works collaboratively with our Safeguarding & Care Planning service who work with children subject to Child Protection plans, Looked After children, and those in care proceedings. Successful applicants to the posts will have experience of practicing statutory child care Social Work in a multi-disciplinary way and have demonstrable skills in planning and delivering interventions with families. They will also have the ability to analyse and evaluate complex situations and risk.
We are looking for social workers who can demonstrate a sound understanding of Social Work legislation, assessment and Social Work methodologies, including an awareness of systemic, strength-based approaches. We would like to hear from you if you are a team player, empathic, enabling and resilient with a 'can do', solution-focussed approach.

If successful you will have to apply for an enhanced Disclosure.
