Senior Residential Worker : Grade 8
Job Location: One of the Service’s Children’s Homes
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior Residential Worker to join the Looked After and Permanence Residential Team to assist in the management, development and delivery of services to young people in line with the policies and procedures of Durham County Council.
Senior Residential Workers will carry responsibility for certain tasks, at the direction of the manager. They will on certain occasions, act on behalf of the manager in their absence.
This post has been identified as being specific to the Statement of Purpose relating to the service’s provision of a placement home. Therefore, emotional sustainability, sound partnership practice, verbal and written communication techniques, the ability to form long lasting relationships, able to work through issues and assessment skills (including identifying risks and risk management) are required.
Required qualifications: Relevant qualification that relates to work with children equivalent to NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Childcare, e.g. childcare, nursing, teaching, youth work.
Required experience: Relevant recent experience as a Residential Worker, working with young people and their families.
Interviews will be held week commencing either 4th or 11th June 2018.
