Your main duties will be to carry out on street parking enforcement around the Sunderland City Council ward areas and will liaise with members of the public and give advice on parking issues and enforcement procedures ensuring that the Council's customer care policy is adhered to at all times. You will be required to issue parking tickets to vehicles parked in contravention of the regulations.

You must have the ability to communicate with customers, often in difficult and demanding circumstances. You should also have ability to become a fully accredited Civil Enforcement Officer and achieve the City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Civil Enforcement Officers (Parking) or equivalent,
upon successful appointment.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
