Class Teacher – NQT / RQT (M1/M2)

South Hetton Primary School is one of seven schools that forms part of Tudhoe Learning Trust. Situated in East Durham, South Hetton Primary is a friendly and welcoming school that serves the community within the village of South Hetton, County Durham.

South Hetton became part of Tudhoe Learning Trust in September 2015. Since then, the school has undergone a significant period of change and improvement and works closely with the other Trust schools. The school is a one form entry primary school with a Nursery through to Year 6, operating a successful breakfast provision and a range of after school clubs and extra-curricular activities.

The Head Teacher, Mrs Lucy Griffiths and the Local Governing Body are seeking to add to the teaching capability within the school with the addition of a Class Teacher to work within Key Stage 2. This role is particularly suited to a NQT or RQT.

The successful applicant will be able to:

• Manage behaviour effectively and in line with school policy.
• Assess accurately.
• Show a commitment to working collaboratively within the Trust.

The successful applicant will be available to take up their new post at the beginning of the Autumn Term 2018.

Closing date for applications is 27th May 2018 and the selection process will consist of a structured panel interview and lesson observation in school.
