The Governors of Broom Cottages Primary and Nursery School wish to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic and motivated teacher with high expectations in their teaching practice and pupils’ learning.

The successful candidate will join the highly skilled and committed Key Stage Two Team as a year five or six Teacher.

Applicants must be committed to raising standards across the curriculum to ensure our children reach their full potential and demonstrate teaching which is consistently good or better.

Do you:
•have a proven track record of delivering consistently strong results in Year 6?
• Understand how children learn?
• Believe every child deserves the best?
• Want to learn and develop professionally?
• Have the vision and drive to lead improvement?
• Have a solid and secure knowledge of the primary curriculum?
• Have detailed knowledge and understanding of all forms of assessment and how this informs planning to impact on learning?
• Have the ability to demonstrate excellent classroom practice?
• Have high expectations of classroom behaviour?
• Have the ability to demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm?
• Have high expectations of children’s achievement and progress?

Rest assured, although you will be expected to work hard and be accountable for ensuring your pupils do well, this is a fun place to work! We have huge playgrounds and grounds, a Sports Hall and swimming pool and not forgetting to mention three hundred enthusiastic children and a friendly, supportive staff team.
