The post requires you to undertake duties in the following areas
Post required from February 2017 (or sooner if available)
• Work under the supervision of the caretaker/site manager
• Report immediately to the caretaker/site manager any defect or damage to any equipment and store in a safe place until dealt with
• Report any incident to the caretaker/site manager or Headteacher, where appropriate
• The cleaning of classrooms – Dust, polish, wash floors, wash tables, chairs and shelves.
• The cleaning and maintain areas in the corridors, hall, toilets (staff and children) and areas assigned to you by the caretaker/site manager
• Hours are strictly 14.45 – 17.15 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and Fridays 14.45 – 16.45 p.m.
• Further cleaning to be completed during the school holidays which will be more in depth due to polishing floors and cleaning behind furniture which is not easily accessible in school terms
• Post subject to satisfactory references and DBS

This post is not open to job share.

Please note that this position is whole time, which means that you will be in attendance at work all year round (52 weeks a year) and will have an annual leave entitlement (26 days if you have less than 5 years’ continuous local government service, 31 days if you have in excess of 5 years’ continuous local government service; pro rata for part time), which must be taken during school closure periods. During periods of school closure outside of your annual leave entitlement, you are required to be in attendance at work.
