We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our cleaning team.

The successful candidate will be expected to –

• Work under the supervision of the Business Manager and Caretakers
• Report immediately to the Caretakers any defect or damage to any equipment, especially stepladders and ladders, and store away in a safe place until it has been repaired or disposed of
• Report any incident to the Caretaker or Business Manager or designated person, and fill in appropriate forms
• Clean identified areas of the school including classrooms, children/staff toilets, corridors, offices and staffroom. Tasks will include damp dusting, mopping floors, washing tables, chairs and shelves, dusting furniture, etc.
• Inform Caretaker of the need for replacement light fittings/fuses etc
• Inform Caretaker of the need for supplies

Please note that this position is whole time, which means that you will be in attendance at work all year round (52 weeks a year) and will have an annual leave entitlement (26 days if you have less than 5 years’ continuous local government service, 31 days if you have in excess of 5 years’ continuous local government service; pro rata for part time). You will be expected to take annual leave during the school holidays.
