Stockton Riverside College and Darlington College are committed to merging from 1 August 2017. Both colleges are in a good position and this is a merger of choice.
To support the merger the colleges' Governors want to recruit a highly capable and experienced Clerk. This post provides the opportunity to offer high level advice, guidance and support to two very effective Governing Bodies prior to the merger and to play a crucial role in helping to shape the newly formed Governing Body post-merger.
The post will be jointly funded by both colleges prior to the merger and the post will transfer to the newly formed college upon the merger.
The role will require flexibility in working patterns as a significant proportion of work will be undertaken in the evenings. We are looking for a special person: someone who ideally has experience of merger(s) but more importantly possesses the critical leadership, negotiation and procedural skills to support both colleges in this historic undertaking.
