Are you a highly motivated fitness professional looking for your next challenge? Would you like to join an existing team of fitness professionals to deliver exercise classes to our Active Hartlepool customers? We have just the opportunity for you!
 
We are looking to employ sports coaches / fitness instructors of various disciplines to work across the Active Hartlepool service.
 
Active Hartlepool currently operates out of Mill House Leisure Centre, Headland Sports Centre, Brierton Sports Centre and Summerhill Country Park. With our new active wellbeing hub, Highlight, set to open in early 2026. It is an exciting time to be joining the Active Hartlepool team!

What is the job?
 
You’ll be working across the Active Hartlepool service to deliver exercise classes to our customers. As well as having the opportunity to work within our gyms.
 
Our sports coaches / fitness instructors play an important role in supporting the Active Hartlepool service to improve people’s lives through physical activity.
 
What do I need?
 
To be a success in the role we require the following from you;
 
A passion for helping others through physical activity
An appetite to train and develop to be a multi skilled member of staff
Possess a minimum of an NGB Level 2 or equivalent
To be a team player who is not afraid to try something new
Enthusiastic and able to promote the Active Hartlepool service
