Further Information
The North East Combined Authority was formed on 7 May 2024. We are led by an Elected Mayor and Cabinet and cover the seven local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
Our purpose is to champion the full potential of our region. Collaborating with our partners and local authorities, we’ll create a better way of life by connecting communities, giving people the skills to succeed, and improving wellbeing for all, so that the North East is recognised as an outstanding place to live, work, visit and invest.
We are looking to appoint a commercial analyst in our Enhanced Partnership team and work towards delivery of our ambitions to improve bus services as set out in our Bus Service Improvement Plan.
About the role
You will play a vital role in analysing data to assess the performance of various improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to ensure future schemes are of the highest standards to enable delivery of the region’s ambitions for our bus network. Your analysis and reporting will also be utilised to help inform decision making undertaken by senior management.
The successful candidate must have experience of working with commercial data previously and be confident in analysing large data sets as well as reporting on this data in a variety of formats to suit different audiences.
You will be a good communicator capable of working on your own initiative. Prior experience or knowledge of the regions transport network is a benefit although not a requirement for the role as you will undertake a tailored training programme upon commencement of employment to help develop the required competencies to undertake your duties.
In return for your valuable contribution, you will have access to an excellent benefits package:
- Generous leave entitlement, starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days after 5 years continuous service, plus 8 bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time staff)
- Flexible working practices including working from other locations and from home.
- A generous employer contribution pension scheme.
- A range of salary sacrifice schemes.
- Commitment to staff development and continuous learning.
- Progression and career enhancement opportunities.
