Contractual Status: Fixed term for 12 months
We are looking for a passionate communications professional who can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop, write, edit and proof a range of content and communications for a variety of audiences both inside and outside of the Council.
You will be responsible for internal communications, ensuring appropriate messages are relayed in a clear and timely manner to all staff.
You will understand the vital role that communications plays in enabling a wide range of stakeholders to stay informed about the Council's services, as well as promoting the positive difference we are making to the lives of local residents.
Applications are invited from individuals who have:
• Experience of delivering effective communications campaigns to an internal and/or stakeholder audience
• Strong writing, sub-editing and proof reading skills with the ability to write engaging copy, press releases and social media posts for a variety of audiences and purchases
• Experience of delivering an effective media monitoring and evaluation service Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong attention to detail
• Good IT Skills
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
