An opportunity has arisen for a Community Housing Officer to work within the Housing Development Team until 31st March 2020.

They will assist in the delivery of the following functions;

• Identify and encourage community groups to promote the development
and delivery of housing to help fulfil the housing needs of the locality
• Identify land that would be suitable for community led housing
development
• Promote community led housing strategically within the Council
• Promote community led housing to the wider community
• Be the key point of contact for community groups looking to develop
community led housing
To promote a range of housing options to create strong communities
where traditional housing development is not possible.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject together with experience of delivering effective engagement with parish councils, community organisations or groups.
