Further Information
In the North East of England and part of the wider Tees Valley sub-region, Darlington is a safe place to live, work and visit. There is a strong, effective Community Safety Partnership where all partners work closely together, focussing attention on the priorities within the borough.

The Council is bringing together a range of services that impact on Community Safety across the borough, to provide a more focussed and coordinated service to address priorities and working closely with partners.

This new unit brings together Anti-Social Behaviour, Environmental Crime, Civil Parking, CCTV, Licensing and Private Sector Housing and Trading Standards.

As the Community Resilience Officer within the new Community Safety Team, your role will be to develop and lead on the engagement programme with local communities across Darlington, building capacity, providing support and gathering intelligence to help inform future plans. You will also provide the local lead for the Prevent programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with the right experience, skills, knowledge and proven track record in a relevant field.

Your rewards for working at the Council goes beyond the salary you will receive. Lots of benefits are in our employment terms and conditions, such as 31 days annual leave, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and Enhanced Maternity/Paternity and Adoption Leave Payments, to name but a few. In addition to these, we are committed to providing a wide range of other benefits for employees, such as:

- Additional Leave Purchase Scheme
- Flexi Time Scheme
- Cycle to Work Scheme in partnership with Halfords
- Access to Occupational Health, Physiotherapy and Counselling Services
- Reduced membership to the Dolphin Centre’s ‘Fit 4 Life’ package
