About the role

County Durham Housing Group are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced community training co-ordinator who will support customers by delivering a targeted, high quality training service.

This role will be required to develop and deliver an effective training programme that delivers targeted outcomes and provides individuals with the support and confidence to access sustained employment opportunities.

Working with internal and external stakeholders to support and manage the development of existing community learning resources across County Durham ensuring the continued success of these facilities.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role

• Delivery of targeted training and associated support programmes to customers allowing individuals to develop the skills, confidence and qualifications to successfully enter sustained employment.

• Support and manage the development of local training facilities, ensuring these facilities meet need and provide an effective and sustainable resource

• Work with the Funding Officer to access funding to support the development of local training facilities, ensuring activity is effectively monitored and reported in line with agreed requirements.

• Develop a comprehensive targeted training programme that supports identified communities of need ensuring customers are able to access high quality, meaningful training

• Where appropriate, identify and source training providers to support the implementation of the Community Investment Strategy and provide far-reaching effective training opportunities to customers.

• Work alongside the Senior Employability Co-ordinator to manage a caseload providing targeted training and support to individual tenants.

• Support the Community Investment Team Leader and Senior Employability Co-ordinator to successfully develop and implement the Community Investment Strategy.

• Develop, maintain and support relationships with stakeholders and third parties to provide effective support and outcomes for tenants and communities.

• Manage health and safety issues in your area of responsibility in line with the relevant section(s) of the relevant Health and Safety Policy.

• Comply with Group confidentiality and information security policies at all times.
