You will receive a holiday plussage on all hours worked which will be paid at the same time as the normal pay for the work. The holiday plussage is based on the 31 days DBC contractual entitlement and this equates to 13.54%.

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and Customer Service motivated people to become casual members of staff in one of the most successful Control Rooms in the region.

The centre operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on a three-shift system, 06.00 till 14.00, 14.00 till 22.00 and 22.00 till 06.00, providing a range of services to the public, businesses and others. This includes being the first contact to Lifeline clients, assisting Police, CCTV and Alarm Monitoring and dealing with out of hours calls for DBC. You must be available to work the full shift rota, which includes weekends and bank holidays, and you will be expected to stay within the control room for the full 8 hour shift, including rest breaks.

You must have approximately 1 year's previous work experience involving contact with the general public and have the ability to work as part of a team. It is essential that you have good communication, observational and listening skills, be able to handle sensitive information and have a good understanding of the needs of the elderly.

Ideally you will be committed to crime prevention, public safety and the welfare of the elderly. Some knowledge of the legislation relevant the provision of CCTV services would be advantageous along with IT skills. SIA training and/or qualification would be desirable but will provided to the successful candidate.
