Culture Bridge North East (CBNE) is looking for an apprentice to join its busy team in Newcastle. CBNE works with the education and culture sectors in the North East to help make sure that children and young people in the region can take part in arts and culture. You can find out more about us at
www.culturebridgenortheast.org.uk
.
Creative Apprenticeships are an employer designed and led training programme leading to recognised qualifications. You’ll spend most of your time working with the CBNE team, and a few days each month doing college modules with other Creative Apprentices at Sage Gateshead. Over your year with us you will gain:
•A level two qualification in Community Arts Administration
•Skills and experience in processes, systems and behaviours that will prepare you well for any future role
•Knowledge of the culture and education sectors
•The opportunity to explore your own professional interests in the arts and/or education
Your work will include:
•Office administration – keeping our busy office running smoothly, for example through using finance systems, keeping records up to date and organising meetings
•Events support – working with the team to help to organise our events, for example by booking venues and arranging catering
•Communications support – working alongside our Communications Officer, managing our database of contacts and organising mailings
•Customer service – answering enquiries by email and telephone, meeting and greeting our visitors
We are looking for a candidate with plenty of enthusiasm, combined with a friendly and professional manner. You’ll be up for working in a small busy team, and for getting to know the arts, culture and education organisations we work with. You’ll have great attention to detail, take pride in a job well done, and be able to stick with a task until it’s finished. We’d love it if you had a passion for culture of any kind – music, dancing, film, art, literature, museums – the list is endless!
If you have any questions or would like to chat about what the role involves, please contact
elvie.thompson@twmuseums.org.uk
When writing your application, please make sure that in the Personal Statement you describe how your skills, knowledge and experience meet the list in the Person Specification.
