Due to a change in staffing in Community Learning a vacancy has arisen for a Curriculum Support Assistant to join this busy team to provide an effective and efficient business support to a team providing curriculum and administrative support to the Adult LearningSkills Service.

You will support the learningSkills curriculum delivery and assist in the development and maintenance of effective administrative procedures, making recommendations where appropriate. You will provide information advice and guidance to members of the public and other departments.

Staff members assist with the development of the learningSkills curriculum, problem-solving to ensure the provision of an efficient service and carrying out procedures relating to orders, invoices, student records, room booking, processing of exams and learningSkills Programmes

There is a requirement to provide general administrative support within learningSkills, to cover reception and duties at other sites if needed and any other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

You must be qualified with 5 GCSE's grade 4 or grade C or above in Math and English or equivalent, have knowledge of administrative Procedures and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

You will need to have experience of; following administrative procedures, using effective written and oral communication skills, customer care and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team. You will also have experience of curriculum support in an educational setting and knowledge of examination procedures.

The role will include some late evening and occasional Saturday working in order to meet the needs of the business.

Further desirable skills would be knowledge of: further education Administration, experience of Local Government administration methods, Adult learning administration and applying administrative procedures in a wide range of settings. Further qualifications; a NVQ 3 in Business Admin and Level 2 in IAG are also desirable.
