As a Customer Service Adviser you will act as the first point for customer contact and take personal responsibility to provide an effective solution to customer queries.

You will be responsible for dealing with customer requests for a number of Council services, face to face, via the telephone and in writing/via email.

Liaising with other Council services you will maintain and develop an effective network of contacts to ensure that information systems are updated.

You will be required to work quickly and accurately under pressure displaying sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality at all times. You must be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative whilst being supportive and approachable to all colleagues.

You will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills.

You are required to have 4 GSCEs or equivalent (at grade C or above) including Maths and English and be ICT competent in using Microsoft Office applications.

It would be advantageous for you to have an NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service.

This is a full time opportunity, but part time requests may also be considered.
