Further Information
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational teacher of Science to teach across all Key Stages within a very successful department. An ability to teach Chemistry would be preferred but we will consider other specialisms.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s highest performing schools; in May 2014 Ofsted graded every aspect of Churchill Community College as ‘outstanding.’ In addition, we are a Teaching School and lead The Great North Maths Hub. Our Executive Headteacher is a National Leader of Education. The college is recognised for the outstanding professional development programme we offer our staff.

The successful candidate will be:
• An excellent practitioner with a passion for Science.
• Committed to the highest standard of achievement for all students.
• An outstanding communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• An enthusiastic team-player, self-motivated and committed to further professional development.
• Positive in attitude, resilient, a problem-solver and good-humoured.

The Science department enjoys a reputation for excellent, dynamic teaching and learning. Achievement is strong and the post offers a superb opportunity for an energetic teacher with excellent skills to develop further within a positive and supportive environment. It is suitable for an experienced teacher or someone at the start of their career. An ability to teach A level Chemistry would be desirable. An ability to teach GCSE is essential.

This post is fixed term up to 31 August 2019.

All staff that join the school benefit from a carefully structured programme of training and support and are provided with a school iPad.

The closing date is 4.30pm on Friday 16th February 2018. Job packs are available to download from our website www.churchillcommunitycollege.org.

Anyone wishing to visit the Science department can do so on Thursday 1st February, 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Please contact Heather Bell to book a visit.

Completed applications should be returned to Heather Bell, Headteacher’s PA, via email: heather.bell@ntlp.org.uk or by post to:
