John Spence Community High School is an 11-16 Sports College with a reputation for social inclusion, high academic standards and for providing a high level of student support. Recently judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ (November 2017) we are located in the borough of North Tyneside and have recently moved into a brand-new school building with state of the art facilities.
We are looking to appoint a flexible, caring and dedicated teaching assistant with experience of, or an interest in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs. This post is linked to the attendance of a pupil with a wide range of educational and physical difficulties who needs 1-2-1 support to overcome barriers to learning. As a Teaching Assistant for John Spence you will have a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their journey, which may have included all manner of set-backs in and outside of education. You must be prepared to go above and beyond.
This post is fixed term for one year.
You will work 37 hours per week, term time only over 195 days.
