Longbenton is a high performing, successful 11-18 school and we are looking to appoint a Curriculum Leader for Science from September 2018. The school is inclusive, comprehensive in its intake and a focal point of the local community.

We are excited to be looking for a dynamic, forward thinking Curriculum Leader to take our Science department to the next level. We are looking for an inspiring and energetic leader with a real passion for Science. You will be a motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual who has the skills and determination to make a real difference to the lives of our students.

The role would be ideal for either an experienced Head of Department or someone looking to make that next step. You will be supported by two Assistant Curriculum Leaders, as well as by the senior leadership of the school, to allow you to lead the department both strategically and through your own high quality teaching.

Science is a very important department in the school and we are a great place to join to develop your career further in our brand new facilities. You will lead a talented and committed team of teachers and technicians to strive to achieve the highest possible outcomes for students irrespective of their backgrounds or starting points. The department run a great number of successful extra-curricular events, and as such the successful candidate to get involved in the whole life of the school.
