Longbenton is a high performing, successful 11-18 school and we are looking to appoint a Teacher of Design and Technology from September 2017. These are very exciting times for us and this is a wonderful opportunity for someone to join us at a key point in our development and be part of something innovative, challenging and rewarding. We want to appoint a Design and Technology teacher from 1 September 2017, to join our vibrant, stable and successful team. We are looking for someone with the potential to successfully teach Design and Technology to at least GCSE standard but who can also teach Food Studies to at least KS3 classes. If successful, you will be joining a committed team of professionals who are raising standards and determined to develop the teaching of technology and improve learning outcomes for all learners.

You will have use of the suite of specialist teaching spaces in our new school. Above all, we are looking for someone who is, or has the potential to be, an excellent teacher. The Create Department at Longbenton contains a wealth of experience and expertise in a number of different areas, and would be a great place to develop your pedagogy. It encompasses courses within Design and Technology, Food Studies, Child Studies, Textiles, Art and Photography. Ideally we are looking for someone who can contribute to a number of these subject areas, at least with KS3 classes.
