Norham High school is an 11-16 secondary school serving the community of North Shields. The school works in close partnership with Churchill Community College, a local outstanding teaching school, to accelerate the progress and aspirations of pupils. This partnership provides a unique and excellent CPD opportunity for colleagues within the school.

The role of Internal Exclusion - Learning Mentor is crucial to support our pupils and helping to further improve strong systems that the school already has for developing behaviour and aspirations of pupils. You will develop and lead our internal exclusion centre, ensuring a rigorous learning environment with high standards of behaviour.

The purpose of the post is to lead appropriate behaviour strategies and interventions, and to manage the new provision which is an alternative from exclusions to home with a focus on improving attitudes to learning and aspirations.

You will work 37 hours per week, term time only over 193 days.

This post is fixed term for one year.
