This job would suit both primary and secondary colleagues.

Required for the 1st September 2017, a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to lead Life Studies and Humanities, working either 5 days or 4 days, to join the team of this highly regarded Middle School with 536 pupils on roll. Life Studies incorporates Citizenship, PSHCE and RE. There is a curriculum need to deliver this through the successful candidates teaching timetable. They will also have knowledge of History and Geography and play a vital role in leading those subjects.

The successful applicant will:

Lead a team of staff ensuring the school objectives are driven forward

Monitor and evaluate your faculty ensuring maximum pupil progress across areas

Lead and motivate your colleagues by running CPD sessions that will raise standards in the classroom

Have pastoral qualities and professional skills necessary to enthuse and motivate pupils, so that the highest standards of learning are attained and maintained in his/her lessons.

(S)He will be hard working, supportive and effective member of the teaching team.

The school was rated GOOD by Ofsted in April 2016. We are on a journey to make the school the best it can be for our pupils. Teamwork and positive support with all adults in the school is a key driver in our current success, we are keen to build on this.

Our fantastic pupils are above national attainment levels in both KS2 and KS3.
