We require a part-time administrative assistant to work alongside existing administrative staff in our school office. Collingwood Primary is an old established primary school with a happy and hard working staff and over 400 pupils. Office staff play a key and highly respected role in ensuring the smooth running of the school. We envisage the successful applicant will have some experience or training in business and administration.
The current postholder’s duties include:
Reception duties, answering telephone and face to face enquiries with parents and other visitors, providing a friendly welcome
Dealing with some aspects of first aid for pupils, liaising with parents/staff
Assist with arrangements for visitors in school ensuring DBS in place
Support the staff with arrangements for school trips, events etc
Provide general clerical/ admin support eg photocopying, filing and general correspondence
Maintain manual pupil records and support with casual admissions
Pupil attendance on SIMS.net system
Undertake word-processing and IT based tasks including some aspects of the website
Provide administrative support to the Headteacher
Undertake administrative procedures re registers, school milk, uniforms, collecting money.
This is not an exhaustive list and the successful applicant should be aware that they may be asked to undertake other administrative duties.

You will work 22.5 hours (3 days) per week, term time only over 193 days.
