An opening has arisen for 1 x Full Time Equivalent (job share will be considered) and 1 x part time (18.5 hrs) Housing Officers within North Tyneside Living’s Retirement Housing.

The role involves front line delivery of the Council’s Housing Service to residents living in North Tyneside Living.

You will be the main point of contact in relation to housing management including tenancy sign up, tenancy review, anti social behaviour and taking responsibility for resolving customer queries.

You will be responsible for monitoring the building, including all aspects of Health and Safety.

A key element of the role is enabling independent living by delivering on the Council’s Preventative agenda, Target Operating Model and Creating a Brighter Future agenda’s; alongside the balance of keeping people safe.

You will monitor the health and wellbeing of residents and will signpost to relevant agencies as required.

You will have experience of working in a Housing or Social Care setting, working with older people and with an understanding of the needs and aspirations of older people. You will have excellent communication and customer service skills.

You will work seamlessly within the wider Housing and Adult Social Care teams, wider North Tyneside Council colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the provision of excellent services.
