North Tyneside Council is seeking to recruit Health Visitors to work with in the 0-19 Children’s Public Health Service in four locality based integrated teams across the borough.

A recent CQC inspection in March 2018 recognised areas of outstanding practice and highlighted that the service prioritised vulnerable children and families appropriately. Managers and staff were acknowledged as having high levels of integrity, driving continuous improvement and held themselves accountable for delivering change.

The post holder will support the provision of universal access to the Healthy Child Programme and early identification of additional and/or complex needs. Ensuring universal contact is offered for the five mandated reviews, providing additional support and targeted interventions to those families where additional need is identified are key aspects of the role.

The essential requirements of the post are :
• 1st level registration, Registered Health Visitor / Specialist Community
Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor)
• First level degree or equivalent
• Recognised mentor qualification
• Nurse prescribing (or willingness to train within given time limit)
• the ability to meet the travel requirements of the post

This post will attract a market supplement.
