Further Information
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who is assertive, thinks creatively and is not adverse to managing risk.

Based in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub, you will work alongside partners from health, education housing, YOT and social care, to share information and make decisions. You will be assertive and confident, encouraging different and creative decision making, to ensure that wherever possible, families are supported at an earlier stage under an early help remit.

You will have good safeguarding knowledge and will act as an escalation/de-escalation point of contact for early help, keeping families within early help wherever safe/possible. You will also challenge and address poor practice.

You will utilise a Signs of Safety approach to highlight what’s working well for the family and identify how this could be built upon using early intervention.

Please be advised that this position will require an Enhanced check from the Disclosure & Barring Service.

North Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. In addition, staff and volunteers are expected to familiarise themselves with all relevant policies, procedures and guidance in relation to safeguarding children and safe practice with vulnerable adults. Within North Tyneside, safeguarding is everybody’s business.
