Park View is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted 2017). It is housed in a new building with state of the art facilities and capacity to cater for 50 children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties with an age range of 11–16 years.

We are in the midst of an exciting phase of the school development. Work is currently underway to develop a vocational training centre and work more collaboratively with local mental health services. We are also part of a local Special Education Needs (SEN) teaching schools alliance delivering training and school improvement across the borough and beyond.

The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, inspirational and enthusiastic person to work with the Head Teacher to lead the school in the next phase of development. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in leading the secondary provision of the only Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) school in South Tyneside, further improving the lives of its pupils. The successful candidate will show:

• Exceptional leadership qualities;
