Further information

To start September 2017.

We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious individual to become the next Deputy Head of our wonderful school which is full of awe inspiring children!
We need an energetic person who works with passion, energy, enthusiasm and urgency!

We are in search of someone who has high expectations of children and continually demands high expectations
from staff.

We need someone who knows that our children only have one shot at an education and that every moment counts...every moment is a learning moment.

We want a Deputy Head who has a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning, and a proven track record of raising standards (and loves doing so!).

An outstanding teacher, you will have at least 5 years of successful teaching experience in at least 2 Key Stages. Having worked in more than one setting, you will be able to demonstrate a track record of successful leadership in a subject or area that resulted in school improvement. Committed to development, you will be able to demonstrate recent CPD/training in leadership / management.

You will be responsible for leading a Key Stage (experience at KS1 would be an advantage), developing our assessment, creating an awe-inspiring curriculum and supporting the Head Teacher in the running of the school.

We are a Requires Improvement school but each day we improve our capacity to be a Good school through the rigorous attention we are paying to detail, enabling our children to have the best education possible. This job is not for the faint hearted! You will become part of an establishing, hardworking leadership team on a fast moving journey of improvement! A sense of humour, a love of children and a passion for improvement are all pre-requisites for this job!

If successful you will need to apply for an enhanced Disclosure.
This post may require a declaration under the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009, including Disqualification by Association.

Please note, only applications sent direct to the school will be considered.

The school is open 8.30 to 4.30 term time and 9.00 - 3.00 in the first week of the Easter holidays. Please note the school will be closed during the second week of the Easter holidays (17 - 21 April).

Application forms available direct from the school office (Tel: 0191 4142557) or by emailing school@wwlcp.school.
Completed forms should be returned direct to the school.
