Following our recent ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection, the Governing Body wish to appoint an inspirational lead professional, with a clear vision and strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of our school. The Deputy Headteacher will work in partnership with the Headteacher to build on our success as we aim to further develop into an outstanding primary school.

Our Deputy Head will:
Be a committed practising Catholic, who fully shares in the Catholic ethos of the school
Support the Catholic life of the school by taking the lead role in developing and coordinating Religious Education.
Be an outstanding primary classroom practitioner, passionate in developing high standards and expectations for all pupils
Be able to demonstrate recent experience in leadership and management
Be a key member of the Leadership Team who will drive school improvement and raise standards
Work in partnership with the Headteacher, Leadership Team, Governors and the wider community

The governing body and the Diocese are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young persons and the Deputy Headteacher should support the Headteacher in ensuring that the highest priority is given to following the guidance and regulations to safeguard children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced check for Regulated Activity from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Please note that the successful candidate will be employed by the governing body, not Northumberland County Council.
