We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a suitably experienced social worker to join our team as a Deputy Team Manager. If you are enthusiastic and passionate, and want to make a real difference in children’s lives, then we would like to hear from you.

This role provides an opportunity to be part of the delivery of a high quality service, improving the lives of children, young people and their families in Redcar and Cleveland and placing children and young people at the heart of everything we do. As Deputy Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing managerial support to the Team Manager, you will be assisting with the supervision of non-social work team members including a Family Support Worker.

With a focus on restorative social work practice and a commitment to implementing the Signs of Safety framework, we provide our social workers with excellent management support and supervision to encourage best practice and innovation to flourish. We are committed to giving Social Workers the time to work directly and in partnership with families to achieve positive change for children.

The successful candidate will have:

- a formal qualification in social work with an established track record in working in safeguarding
- registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
- experience of working within a children and families social work setting
- the ability to produce good quality assessments and robust plans
- working knowledge of relevant legislation
- strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
