Further Information
An opportunity has arisen for a Development Officer to lead on the development of a Stage 2 HLF Landscape Partnership Scheme submission on behalf of the North Pennines AONB Partnership and the communities of the east fellside in Cumbria for a period of 18 months. It is envisaged that should further funding be secured, that the post holder’s contract be extended with them becoming the Scheme Manager.
The successful applicant will be expected:-
To establish and maintain close links with project partners.
To further develop or lead on applications to potential sources of funding to achieve delivery of the LPS.
To report, as required, to relevant bodies of the North Pennines AONB Partnership and its partner authorities on issues and action in the North Pennines AONB for which the post-holder is taking the lead.
To help to ensure that action undertaken within the AONB is consistent with and complementary to the purpose of AONB designation / UNESCO Geopark status.
To supervise such contractors as may be appointed to develop specific projects within the officer’s main areas of responsibility.
Applicants should hold a Degree or equivalent, in an environment, sustainability, countryside recreation, land management or historic environment related subject together with significant experience of successful working on multi-partner project development and management relating to the conservation of natural beauty or sustainable development.
