Northumberland Sport are looking to recruit a Development Officer (Children & Young People) to support the Partnership’s ambition to increase the levels of physical activity with children and young people in Northumberland.
You will work within a small team and directly with key stakeholders (including schools, clubs & leisure providers) to promote the benefits of physical activity & sport and to use local insight to help drive improvements and evidence impact.
The main responsibilities include:
To lead on Sport England’s Active Lives Children & Young People Survey requirements, working directly with nominated schools across Northumberland.
To lead on Northumberland’s Sport work on PE and Sport Premium, providing guidance/support to primary schools eligible for this funding.
To support Northumberland Sport’s involvement in the county School Games programme, specifically at the Level 3 competition stage.
To support delivery of the Satellite Clubs programme in Northumberland.
You will be educated to Degree Level (or equivalent), have excellent IT skills, organisational skills, and be able to develop strong working relationships with both your team and a wider network of partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic person to be involved in driving participation of children & young people. The post is offered on a 2 year fixed term basis.
