Salary: Grade 7, £20,138 – £21,962 (SCP 21-24)

(could increase to 37hpw if candidate has suitable graphic design skills)
We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, creative and talented social media professional to join the council during a very exciting period of digital expansion.
In this role, you will support the council on the delivery of digital communications to raise awareness of our services. You will work with all council services to position Richmondshire District Council as a thought-leader in digital media, for areas such as the council website, new content for digital audiences and social media platforms.
You will be responsible for delivering ongoing digital engagement campaigns, using social media, blogs, email campaigns and other relevant platforms to deliver buzz and engagement as well as manage issues. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying newsworthy stories for the council. You will share insight on new and relevant social media technologies and offer advice on how best to use social media platforms within communications campaigns and support the Internal Communications Officer on uploading releases, blogs and appointments.
• Additional hours, up to a full time post, may be available if suitable applicants have the desirable graphic design skills.

• The post and duties of the Digital Engagement Officer is for 18.5hours per week.
There may be a possibility of increasing the number of hours worked per week (up to 37), should any of the appropriate candidates also possess suitable graphic design skills and knowledge.
