We are an all age (4-19) special school in Middlesbrough and we work with children and young people with a range of learning difficulties, including Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
Our school is a vibrant and dynamic place to work. Due to the retirement of our current post holder, we have a vacancy for a Director of Creative and Performing Arts. This post sits within the senior leadership team and is an outstanding opportunity if you
• Are an excellent classroom practitioner
• Have experience within SEND settings
• Enjoy working in a fast paced, innovative, exciting and supportive environment and playing a strategic role in our
ongoing drive for improvement
• Have high aspirations and are eager to work towards the best outcomes for children and young people
• Have experience of teaching within the arts with children and young people with SEND
• Have experience as a middle or senior leader
• Believe that the arts, in all its forms, is a vehicle for promoting positive outcomes for learners with SEND
