2 vacancies have arisen for qualified Early Years Practitioners, as part of Children’s Services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast paced early years local authority nursery, based at Stainsby Nursery, and will assist in the day-care setting, in line with statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Duties include and providing a safe, supportive, warm, welcoming environment, for children aged from birth to 5 years, to learn, develop and play in.

You will be a key worker, for several children within the room you are based, updating the online digital platform for a parent to access and ensure children are working towards their age-appropriate milestones.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, on a rota basis between 7.45 am – 5.45pm, part of a large team working in a multi-disciplinary field, liaising with parents and carers, professionals, such as Health Visitors, speech and language, family support staff, social workers, etc.

Responsible for ensuring the environment is safe, clean, and stimulating to support children’s learning, on a daily basis.

Continuous Professional Development is a part of the culture created, which includes keeping up to date with new initiatives, legislation, policies, and procedures, via team meetings and training. Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children are required, but training can be provided.  You will need to be effective in verbal and written communication skills and need to be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and be a real team player.

Ensure the nursey environment promotes and provides equality of opportunity, reflects diversity, and supports anti-discriminatory practice to meet the needs of all children and their families, ensuring they are included and supported.

It is essential you hold a professional qualification minimum Level 3 in Childcare.
