‘This is an inclusive and harmonious school community where everyone is welcomed and valued equally’ Ofsted September 2017

The Governors of the School would like to appoint a highly motivated and creative Early Years teacher to join our successful school team in this high achieving school.

The successful candidate will be joining our school at an exciting time as we move the school to ‘outstanding’ following our ‘Good’ Ofsted and Section 48 inspections in September and July 2017 respectively.

St Paulinus has outstanding facilities on a site integrated with the new parish church. We are committed to a high degree of corporate working with staff, Governors, pupils, parents, parish and wider community all contributing to the life of our school. The school ethos is welcoming and shares the Gospel values of ‘Love for one Another’ and ‘to be the best person you can be’.

We are looking for a teacher who:
• Wishes to develop outstanding practice, has a love for learning and high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour;
• An outstanding child centred Early Years teacher with high expectations of pupil’s behaviour and attainment;
• Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
• Is able to contribute significantly in Early Years through commitment, vision, drive and passion to provide the very best care and education for our pupils;
• Has the ethos and philosophy to build good relationships with children, parents and Governors .
• Develop daily routines in a stimulating and creative setting and provide rich experiences to enable our children to become effective learners.
• Is able to manage and monitor planning and assessment effectively in order to raise standards.

We can offer:
• A welcoming community with a strong Catholic ethos;
• Children who respect, care and value one another;
• Children who are polite, well behaved and enthusiastic learners;
• A dedicated and enthusiastic staff team;
• Supportive parents and governors;

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks. The school is part of the Nicholas Postgate Academy Trust.

The closing date for applications is Monday 12th March 2018. Shortlisting will take place on Tuesday 13th March 2018 and interviews will be held on Tuesday 20th March 2018. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and can be arranged, by appointment, on Friday 2nd March or Tuesday 6th March. Please contact Mrs Lynne Green, School Business Manager, on 01287 637978 to arrange a visit.

Completed CES application forms should be returned to the Head Teacher, Mr S Geaves. Only applications on the Catholic Education Service application form will be accepted. Please read the guidance notes for applicants.
