This is an exciting opportunity for you to play your part in shaping the future of the North of Tyne economy. The North of Tyne Combined Authority is a ground-breaking organisation, with the transfer of unprecedented new powers from Government to the North of Tyne. We will make an ambitious contribution to the lives of local people, with a clear priority to help the communities we serve to fulfil their true potential – in all aspects of life.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority is seeking to recruit experienced Economic Development Officers to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including businesses, to develop an NTCA Events and Tourism offer that promotes the local, sub regional and inclusive economy in the North of Tyne.

We are recruiting for two roles, one will focus on the planning, commissioning and delivery a North of Tyne programme of events including development of existing events and commissioning of new events. The other role will focus on the commissioning of new tourism products and experiences, working closely with a variety of stakeholders.

The role is suitable for a pro-active self-starter with the right skills, abilities and talent to deliver on an exciting programme of activity. The postholder should also have excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
At NTCA, we don’t just accept difference, we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our team, our mission, and our residents. NTCA is proud to embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.

If you are interested in this opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
