1 x (Full time) Permanent post
1 x (part time, 0.5fte) Maternity cover post January to December 2019

Newcastle Educational Psychology Service is seeking to appoint to a full time permanent Educational Psychologist post and a part time maternity cover post. The successful candidates will join a well regarded team, currently consisting of 13.9 FTE EPs. The service is highly valued by schools and settings and has a very high level of requests for traded work. Both posts will involve a range of work, both at a statutory level and at preventative and early intervention levels. The service has good links with Newcastle University and currently hosts three doctoral trainees.

Applications are welcome from colleagues wishing to work either full time or part time

In addition, applications for the permanent post are welcome from fully qualified colleagues and doctoral trainee Educational Psychologists who are due to finish their training course in the summer 2019.

Two of our most recently appointed Educational Psychologists have said that they enjoy working in Newcastle because…
• “I have the flexibility and freedom to use a variety of psychological approaches across my work and opportunities to develop specific interests and skills”.
• “It’s a really friendly and eclectic team who have a broad range of experience and skills and who are always approachable and supportive”.
• “There is a diversity of work across different settings and lots of opportunities for traded and systemic work”
• “There is support and encouragement from management and peers to develop my practice, ethically, psychologically and meaningfully”.

If this sounds like a service you would like to join, please feel free to contact Lara Lillico, Educational Psychology Service Manager or Sarah Woodburn, Deputy Educational Psychology Service Manager on 0191 2774577 or at lara.lillico@newcastle.gov.uk / sarah.woodburn@newcastle.gov.uk for an informal discussion.

All applicants must be professionally qualified and HCPC registered.
