Working arrangements: Full-time (35 hours), Five days out of seven, primarily Monday to Friday
The Estates and Facilities Directorate provides a number of essential services to Durham University and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the various campuses.
The Directorate is currently in Phase 1 of a three-phase programme to deliver a new estate, through the development and construction of new buildings alongside the refurbishment of the existing estate.
We currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Craftsperson to join our Direct Labour Team.
The Electrical Craftsperson will undertake electrical repairs and maintenance work, to an agreed level, in compliance with industry standards, statutory requirements, relevant codes of practice in a professional and customer-focussed manner. The post-holder will work across the University Estate, within domestic, industrial and educational buildings; using electronic devices for receipt and completion of work instructions.
