Cleveland Police are inviting applications for the post of ER Advisor, based within the HR Employee Relations Team at Thornaby. We are looking for candidates who are innovative to deliver the highest standards of advice and guidance, and look for opportunities to implement service improvements. As an HR Professional within our Employee Relations team you will support staff and line managers at all stages of their career:

Support managers on a range of employment related queries (policies/procedures/T&Cs) and tasks.

Provide a professional Employee Relations (ER) advice service and case management provision to Line Managers and Staff through the Employment Relations Team working within the wider HR and Wellbeing team.

Actively be an advocate for the delivery and implementation of the HR and wellbeing strategy, including role modelling values based leadership, demonstrating personal ownership and taking an active role in ensuring the HR Operating Model is embedded successfully.

It is essential that you have previous experience working within a generalist or specialist ER / HR environment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong influencing skills, whilst possessing the ability to present recommendations in a confident and business like manner, challenging when appropriate. Experience of working with managers to create positive business outcomes, with an ability to work to conflicting deadlines dealing with numerous tasks and areas simultaneously is required. Experience of working within a public sector organisation, and using an ER case tracking management system would be advantageous.
