Cleveland Police are inviting applications for the post of ER Case Manager, based within the HR Employee Relations Team at Thornaby.
Are you able to build effective relationships with line managers and senior members of the organisation to promote positive employee relations across the force, guiding and coaching them where required? The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of cases that will require advice to be expertly and confidently delivered to a range of managers, including but not restricted to the areas of attendance management, grievances, and flexible working.
If you have previous experience of helping others to performance manage, investigate grievances or of investigating grievance matters yourself, whilst advising and supporting on policy matters and processes including capability and discipline we would really welcome your application. Previous experience of following or working with pension scheme rules is not essential but would be beneficial.
We welcome applications from those who can demonstrate their commitment to delivering on, and embedding, HR and wellbeing strategy. There will be opportunity to be involved in shaping processes and procedures, as well as reviewing your own working practices to continually improve our service provision and fulfil your personal development.
If you can demonstrate your working knowledge of legislation relevant to the role, together with a track record of working in line with policies and procedures in a Human Resources setting, this is a varied and rewarding role where you will be able to support positive outcomes for individuals and the organisation. The ER team need to be dynamic and agile therefore we need our new colleague to have the ability to make effective and timely decisions, with high levels of customer service and focus through excellent organisation skills.
Although not essential, it would be advantageous to have experience of working with an Employee Relations Tracking Case Management system.
A fantastic opportunity also exists for candidates who do not yet possess their level 5 CIPD qualification as the organisation would provide funding and support for you to undertake this once in post. We actively encourage applications from candidates who are looking to develop and would commit to gaining this recognised HR qualification.
