About the Job 

As one of a team of Employment Advisors within the Newcastle Futures service, the role will provide one to one support, advice and guidance to Newcastle residents seeking employment.

The Job 

Employment Advisors provide one-to-one support to Newcastle residents to help them find, secure and progress in good jobs. You will be part of a small, dedicated and professional team providing impartial, informed advice and guidance to help local people understand and improve their skills, explore career options and land great job opportunities. Newcastle provides lots of great jobs, and you will be playing a vital role in directly helping people overcome barriers to move into these roles.  

The Candidate 

You will have experience of working directly with people to develop their employability, and the ability to relate to people, understand their aspirations and barriers, and help them to address these. You will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and an understanding of the recruitment needs of employers. You should be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience within an employment, careers or training environment.?
