The Service
Reporting into the Commercial Team Manager the council’s utilities and energy management incorporates a £12m spend across electricity, gas and water. The role will be to manage the various suppliers of the utility portfolio as well as our relationships with our internal customers for which we supply energy related services.
The role will be responsible for managing the Energy Systems Officer and providing support to that role.

The role
Key responsibilities will include ensuring that all invoices are correctly validated and paid on time. The role will require reviewing key processes and seeking ways to improve the process as well as making checks more robust. It is critical that the candidate can work with both external suppliers and internal customers maintaining relationships to ensure information flow. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken and written English is essential for the post.

Essential requirements:
Understanding of the utilities market
Experience in a similar role
High level of customer service
Supervisory or management experience
Able to disseminate information clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders
