A successful secondary school in South Tyneside is looking to appoint an English Teacher from June 2018 to join their friendly and experienced team. The role will be on a full time basis and will carry on until the end of the academic year. You will be expected to teach at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Teaching in this school is good. Staff use their subject knowledge effectively to ensure that students of all starting points achieve well. The excellent promotion of students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development makes an impressive contribution to their highly positive attitudes and desire to work and study.

To be successful in this role you must:
  • be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
  • be proficient in planning, assessment and target setting so that all pupils make good progress
  • successfully contribute to high levels of pupil achievement
  • consistently teach inspirational and varied lessons
  • hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
  • have recent experience / knowledge of teaching English within the UK National Curriculum.
